This pack, Primary Geography at Key Stages 1 and 2, supporting Unit 13: A contrasting UK locality – Llandudno, consists of 21 specially shot digital video sequences and interviews on two CD-ROMs or on a single DVD, which focus on the locality of Llandudno, its human and physical features and their effects on settlement, land use, economic activity and environment. In total, there is over an hour of video material.

The video has been shot to maximise opportunities for photo interpretation and perception of this UK location and also includes interviews with local people to support the evidence base. Themes include:

• The Great Orme – physical features
• The North Shore Promenade
• Llandudno Pier
• Transport and travel
• Economic activity

To maximise flexibility, the clips have been recorded without a commentary. This enables teachers to present them in their own style whilst maintaining the location atmosphere and also allows pupils to record their own commentary.
