HENDRIK BALL MA

Hendrik founded Digitalsavvy in 2003. Before that he was the Development Executive for the BBC’s Innovation Unit for Interactive Factual & Learning, and has worked on a wide range of digital and multimedia projects, including BBC Project Hull (http://www.bbc.co.uk/humber/connecting/) and Key Stage 3 Geography, for which he received a BAFTA nomination. He pioneered the BBC’s first ever broadband project, Holiday Spain, which was delivered over BT’s trial ADSL service in London in 1998. Before that, he produced and directed educational television programmes for 20 years, both for BBC Open University and for BBC Education. Television awards include the premier education award, The Japan Prize, as well as awards from the Royal Television Society and the New York Film Festival.

Hendrik has a degree in Chemistry and also a degree in Radio, Film & Television, both from Bristol University, and a Masters Degree in Open and Distance Learning from the Open University.
